NOTE
If your potion has serial #N1034 or
higher, then this mod is already fitted.
If your essence has serial #M1089 or higher,
then this mod is already fitted.
Due to some misinformation during the design of the potion
and essence 500 series compressors,
the card edge connection for the linking of our 500 Series compressors
is incorrect. The potion and essence
have PIN 11 designated as the link connection, when in actual fact
the API* standard is PIN 6. This error can be easily remedied with
a simple wire link soldered between PIN 6 and PIN 11 of the potion
and/or essence edge connector.

In the photo, you
can see the modification applied to a potion
circuit board (the essence is similar). Note the link is only required
on the bottom board (the one with the Lundahl transformers mounted
on it). In this photo the top board has been removed for clarity,
but it's not necessary to do this to fit the link. There are holes
through the circuit board in which the wire link can be inserted and
soldered. BE CAREFUL NOT
TO GET SOLDER ON THE GOLD FINGER OF THE EDGE CONNECTOR!
Once this link has been added, you can then use the link buss present
on the connector circuit board within the API* Lunchbox or 500VPR
rack. For example, if you have two essences
mounted in slots 1/2 and 3/4 of a Lunchbox, you need to link slot
1 to slot 2 AND slot 2 to slot 3 to establish the stereo link. We
will try and obtain detail on how to set up the links within the API*
racks and publish it here, in the meantime, this information will
need to be obtained from API* (or any other rack manufacturer).
