FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Buzz Audio is pleased
to announce the release of the Series 20 QSP, a new 4 channel microphone
and instrument preamplifier. The QSP utilizes the Buzz Audio proprietary
BE41 True Class A amplifiers coupled to Lundahl (TM) audio output
transformers. This combination produces a clean and open high end
with a nice touch of bass warmth. The transformerless non-reactive
input means the QSP interfaces well with all microphone types and
yields a multi-purpose preamp that delivers sound always complimenting
the source. These attributes plus the attractive price point brings
a new level of performance within reach of the small studio owner
as well as a cost effective solution where many mic preamp channels
are required. Up to 70dB of low noise gain is available with a maximum
output level of +26dBu. Each channel is equipped with an instrument
(DI) input, 20dB pad, high/low input impedance switch, polarity reverse,
mute and phantom power functions. The QSP is made by hand with non-surface
mount serviceable components. The Series 20 QSP is the first of a
new range of Class A analogue recording tools to celebrate 20 years
since the first Buzz Audio product was manufactured. Buzz Audio
REQ-2.2ME at Silvertone Mastering "I took the unit down to Dave McNair's room at Masterdisk and we compared it to some of the finest mastering equalizers ever made," DeVivo said. "In the end, McNair noted 'I could easily use the Buzz as my one analog eq', it was really that good." When it came time to let the equalizer go, "I just couldn't" said DeVivo, "I see the REQ 2.2 as new King Daddy mastering EQ and knew that Silvertone just had to have one." The REQ 2.2 is manufactured in New Zealand by Buzz Audio. Tim Farrant designed the unit using passive resonant circuits (utilizing actual chokes and capacitors) along with his own custom Class A amplifiers creating a first of its kind mastering equalizer. "Filter circuits used in the GML or Sontec are "electronic" simulations of real inductors (or chokes) so you make a capacitor/resistor network "look like" a choke. After comparing the sound of real resonant circuits to that of electronically simulated ones, we are convinced this is how real audio equalization should be", said Tim. I'd have to agree! 2007 August 2007 Distribution In Hungary Buzz Audio is pleased to announce the appointment of Absolute-Hitspace as distributor of our products in Hungary. Absolute BT - Hit Space Peterfy S. u. 9. 1076 Budapest Magyarország Contact; Adam Davidovics T +36-1-322-2519 F +36-1-341-0272 PRESS RELEASE 2nd of September 2005. Buzz Audio Unveils New Products at the 119th AES Tradeshow. New Zealand based pro-audio manufacturer Buzz Audio is pleased to announce the unveiling of two new items at the 119th AES Exhibition that will extend the Buzz Audio True Class A 2.2 Series of products. The first new product is the Resonance Equaliser Model REQ-2.2, a high end stereo equaliser intended for tracking, mixing and mastering applications. The Resonance Equaliser gets its name from the use of real switched inductors and capacitors as the reactive elements in the EQ stages - no electronic simulation – which results in natural resonance and a simply delectable sound. The REQ-2.2 boasts four bands of parametric EQ with the high and low bands switchable bell/shelf and each band can be switched in/out of circuit. The REQ also debuts a unique variable transformer saturation circuit which introduces varying amounts of low frequency colour in the form of harmonic distortion creating subtle but effective lifting of low frequencies. A passive choke based high pass filter completes the picture. The second new product is the Dual Compressor System Model DCS-2.2, a high end audio compressor which features 2 different compressor types in the one unit with features not found on any other compressor today. The DCS-2.2 includes one channel of hard knee FET based compression and one channel of softer OPTO compression. Routing switches allow the user to use the two compressors types individually, in series or in parallel modes. A blend control allows the user to mix between un-compressed and compressed signal, or blend between the two compressor types in parallel mode. Other features include a front panel switchable insert point, transformer saturation, LED metering and a side-chain frequency response tilt control. Intelligent linking to a second DCS allows for stereo operation. The overall design of both new products is a "no holds barred" approach with True Class A discrete transistor amplifiers throughout and individual discrete power supply regulators for each stage. The REQ-2.2 and DCS-2.2 will both be available with detented (Mastering) and non-detented controls. In addition to these new items, Buzz Audio will also have on demonstration the current range of recording products including the ARC-1.1 Analogue Recording Channel, SOC-1.1 Stereo Optical Compressor, MPE-1.1 Mono Parametric Equaliser and the highly regarded MA-2.2 Class A Microphone Amplifier. All Buzz Audio products feature new innovative designs intended to advance sound recording technology, and are not re-creations of products from the past. 1st May 2005 Please note that from the 1st May 2005, we have changed our warranty conditions. All products now carry a non-transferable warranty for a period of 1 year (12 months) from the date of purchase. If you register your product purchase either online or by returning the enclosed Warranty Registration card, the warranty is extended to 2 years (24 months) and is transferable. 5th March 2005 1st February
